Ealing Trailfinders Community Women enjoy hard fought victory

Our Amateur Women's rugby side ran out 38-37 victors on Sunday afternoon as they welcomed Bec Belles RFC to Trailfinders Sports Club in their first league outting.

After a summer of training and pre-season friendlies, it was time for Andrew Quick's side to put into practice what they have been working on. Ealing were breaking through the defence and in the lead within the first 5 minutes of the game. This momentum carried on throughout the game. After a few Ealing injuries, Bec Belles came back into the game. However, Ealing were not ready to give up that easy and fought to the last second of the game to see the victory through. Well done to Bec Belles for a great contest and credit to them for putting up a good fight. In a game that went right down to the final whistle it was the home side who managed to win by the smallest of margins, a result that will breed even more confidence into a side that have already impressed this year.
