Vacancy: First Team Physiotherapist/Sports Rehabilitator/Therapist
The club is seeking a physiotherapist/sports rehabilitator/therapists to join its 1st XV squad, an exciting opportunity to join a full time professional club currently ranked as one of the top 24 clubs in England.
The First Team Physiotherapist role is an integral part of our support team, working at our high-class training facilities at Trailfinders Sports Club, Ealing, West London. You will assist the Head Physiotherapist in the assessment, day-to-day management and rehabilitation of the club’s players. This will require excellent clinical knowledge and extensive experience in sports injury.
You will be an important part of a multi-disciplinary team that delivers therapy, injury prevention protocols and rehabilitation to the clubs’ squad. You must have excellent hands-on skills and be able to build respectful relationships with the clubs playing and non-playing staff.
You will be heavily involved in the triage of injured players, therefore confidence in your decision making and providing clear reasoning with good communication skills is a must. You will have an active input into an injured player’s rehabilitation and return to train/play protocols, in which a strong grounding in evidence based-practice is essential.
An education to degree level in physiotherapy/ sports rehabilitation/ sports therapy (including relevant HCPC/BASRT/SST registration) and an RFU ICIS qualification is essential, although postgraduate education in these and other relevant fields may also be advantageous.
You will have a successful record and experience of working within a professional sports team and effectively working within a physiotherapy department.
