Rodman and Hannay to make first starts
Sam Rodman and Nathan Hannay will make their first starts for Ealing Trailfinders as Ben Ward’s team wraps up their pre-season preparations away to Coventry.
Both players moved south to Vallis Way in the close-season; Rodman arrived after graduating from Leeds Beckett University, two caps for England Students and a BUCS University Championship, while Hannay joined from Yorkshire Carnegie, for whom he had played for two seasons.
Rodman packs down as loose-head prop, alongside tight-head Michael Holford and hooker Matt Thompson, who starts his first match of pre-season and Hannay will line up in the second row with Llewelyn Jones.
Club captain Danny Kenny once again leads the side from number 8 and he is flanked by Harrison Orr and Alex Bradley.
Tom Bliss starts at scrum-half for the first time since his arrival on loan from Wasps and he will team up with Alex Davies in the half-backs.
Tom Wheatcroft and Toby Berridge are the starting centres with Chris Kinloch and Callum Wilson outside them on the wings. Behind them James Love will offer protection and attacking impetus from fullback.
