Phil and Will return for Pirates visit

Phil Chesters and Will Harries will make their long-awaited return to the Ealing Trailfinders team when they start the Greene King IPA Championship match away to Cornish Pirates on Sunday.

Chesters has not played since the away match against Bedford Blues at the start of March, while Harries has not featured since the road trip to Rotherham Titans on 16 January.

The pair are two of five changes to the back-line who started the 30-13 loss to Yorkshire Carnegie a week ago. They make up a back-three with Curtis Wilson, who switches from the left to right wing following his Ealing Trailfinders’ league debut a week ago.

In the centres Lewis Jones comes in to make his first start since joining the club in the summer and he will link up with Joe Munro, who holds onto the number 12 jersey.

There is a new combination at half-back where Director of Rugby and fly-half Ben Ward will pair up with Luke Carter, who came off the bench against Carnegie.

By contrast there are no changes in the forward pack. It means that number 8 Mark Bright will once again lead the team out and he is flanked in the back row by Willie Ryan and Iain Grieve.

Last week’s try-scorer Harry Casson again starts in the engine room, alongside Carwyn Jones, while Lewis Thiede and Argentine international Ignacio Lancuba pack down either side of hooker Rhys Lawrence.
