Munro back on familiar turf for Nottingham trip

Joe Munro will be back on familiar ground when Ealing Trailfinders take on Nottingham under the lights at Lady Bay in the Greene King IPA Championship on Friday evening.

The centre played for Nottingham for four seasons and made 72 appearances before he headed south to Vallis Way in 2015.

Munro will line up in his usual number 12 shirt, with Aled Jenkins outside him in the number 13 jersey, the sixth league meeting in a row that the pair have teamed up in the centres.

Outside them on the right wing is another Nottingham old boy, Rhys Crane who will make his fifth appearance of the season. Last season’s leading scorer spent 18 months with Nottingham and showed his prowess by running in 11 tries in 22 appearances.

Curtis Wilson will line up in the other wing, while Luke Daniels starts at fullback aiming to match the two tries he scored in the fixture last season.

In the pack there is one change. Seb Nagle-Taylor takes over from Arthur Ellis on the flank and will make up a back row with captain Mark Bright and Willie Ryan.

Adam Preocanin will make his third appearance after returning from injury, alongside Carwyn Jones in the engine room. In front of them prop Ignacio Lancuba and Lewis Thiede will pack down either side of hooker Rhys Lawrence.
