JK set for familiar assignment at Rotherham Titans

Jamie Kilbane will be on familiar ground when he packs down against Rotherham Titans in the re-arranged British and Irish pool match on Saturday.

The fixture was initially due to be played on 16 January, but the team had to turn around halfway up the M1 after the Clifton Lane pitch was deemed unplayable.

Kilbane spent eight years in South Yorkshire and became a firm favourite as he racked up over 100 appearances. On Saturday he will be part of a front row with hooker Karl Gibson and tighthead prop Nathan Buck.

Two other players familiar to the White Rose county will be behind them in the engine room. Nathan Hannay joined Ealing Trailfinders following two seasons with Yorkshire Carnegie, while Paul Spivey hails from Hull.

Danny Kenny continues at number eight and will again captain the side, while Alex Bradley and Eoghan Grace start on the flanks.

Alex Davies and Tristan Roberts will link up as scrum-half and fly-half, with Joe Munro and Sam Stanley reforming the centre pairing that last featured together in the Boxing Day win away to London Scottish.

Tom Wheatcroft returns from injury to slot in at fullback, with James Stephenson and Callum Wilson outside him on the wings.

Hooker Matt Cornish and flanker Tyler Bush, two academy players who were invited to train with the Ealing Trailfinders squad at the start of the season, both start on the bench.
