Four changes for season closer

Ealing Trailfinders have made four changes to the team that secured their place in the Greene King IPA Championship when they defeated Jersey 30-24 at Vallis Way a week ago.

Llewelyn Jones comes into the back-row, where he will link up with Arthur Ellis and captain Chris York, Joe Munro starts at centre and there is a new half-back pairing of Tom Trotter and Ben Ward.

It is a first start for young scrum-half Trotter, who joined the club in February and who has made a number of appearances off the bench in recent weeks.

Elsewhere there is a familiar look to the team that finishes the season in the same way that started it, against Rotherham Titans. Back in September at Clifton Lane, the South Yorkshire side won 24-23 thanks to a last-minute penalty from Rotherham fly-half Tom Barrett.

In the front-row hooker Alun Walker and props Will Davis and Alex Penny will all run out after they signed extended deals with the club during the week. Behind them Adam Preocanin and Paul Spivey will once again pack down in the engine room.

Munro will pair up with Toby Howley-Berridge in the centre and outside them leading try-scorer Rhys Crane will be out to add to his 10 tries on one wing. On the opposite wing is James Love, who scored the opening try and then kicked two long-range penalties to secure the win over Jersey last week.

Luke Daniels will start at fullback for the seventh consecutive week.
