Feast of rugby on and off field over next two weeks

Ealing Trailfinders' home ground Vallis Way will be a cauldron of rugby over the next fortnight, with exciting action on and off the field of play.

On Saturday Ben Ward's team take on the Scarlets Premiership Select XV in the British and Irish Cup quarterfinals at 2pm and it is the first time that Ealing Trailfinders have reached the Cup knockout stages.

Scarlets are a young team drawn from the Welsh Premiership clubs and they play in the exciting traditions of the west Wales area that produced players such as George North, Phil Bennett and Jonathan Davies.

A week later Nottingham arrive in west London with vital points on the table for Ealing Trailfinders pursuit of a place in the Greene King IPA Championship play-offs.

Ealing Trailfinders have lost to Nottingham on the last three occasions that they have met, so it will be another tough match.

On both Saturdays Trailfinders Sports Club will be showing all the Six Nations action on the big screen in the clubhouse.

That means that once the action against the Scarlets has finished fans can turn their attention to events at Twickenham where England take on Scotland in the annual Calcutta Cup match.

Then a week later it will be the turn of Ireland to face the Six Nations champions with kickoff at the Aviva Stadium coming shortly after the match against Nottingham has finished.
