Davies switches to fullback for Doncaster trip

Alex Davies will switch from scrum-half to fullback for Ealing Trailfinders away match against Doncaster Knights on Saturday.

The former London Welsh man has started three of the four Greene King IPA Championship matches so far in the number nine shirt, but with injuries ruling out Will Harries and James Love, Davies will don the 15 shirt as he did on occasions for the Exiles.

It will be the third position that the 29-year-old Davies has played this season; he came off the bench to play fly-half against London Scottish.

It means that his namesake Alex Walker will slot in to the team for his second appearance of the season at scrum-half, alongside fly-half Tristan Roberts.

Toby Howley-Berridge will make his second start of the season against one of his former teams, a week on from his showing in the 28-17 win over Cornish Pirates that earned him the STORM Watches man of the match award.

The 25-year-old Berridge will again link up with Joe Munro in the centres, while James Stephenson and Rhys Crane start on the wings.

In the pack Will Davis, Alun Walker and Nathan Buck form the starting front row and behind them Nathan Hannay again packs down alongside one of the Jones brother, though this time it is Carwyn rather than Llewelyn.

Number 8 Chris York will again lead the team, between flankers Danny Kenny and Adam Preocanin.
