Dalrymple and Dearman sign up to Trailfinders Rugby Academy
Ealing Trailfinders are pleased to reveal the next two members of the Trailfinders Rugby Academy with Brunel University London.
Matt Dalrymple and Charlie Dearman both arrive with enormous potential, adding further quality to the back-line for the upcoming year.
Charlie Dearman has been with the Saracens Under 18s whilst also gaining experience with Lambs. His home club of Chingford allowed him to play when at school and sixth form at Newhall School, where the centre represented Essex at Under 18 level.
Fly-Half Matt Dalrymple was part of the London Irish Academy and has had an interesting journey to Trailfinders Sports Club. He attended Rondebosch Boys High School in South Africa before moving back to England for Sixth Form Shiplake College. His home club of Henley gave him plenty of opportunities, which led to playing for South West England Under 18s.
Brunel Head of Rugby Gareth Rise is delighted to have Matt and Charlie on board.
“Matt and Charlie are players who we believe have a very bright future. Matt clearly reads the game very well as a number 10 and has confidence in his own ability which has shown when he has come up against the first team in training.
Charlie is a strong centre/fly-half who has great distribution skills as well as being very quick when he breaks the line. With these two players in the midfield it gives us even more excitement for the matches to start.”
