Club cricket match re-scheduled for 3 August

Ealing Trailfinders’ annual T20 cricket match against Ealing Trailfinders CC has been re-arranged for Wednesday 3 August, starting at 6pm.

Ben Ward’s side were originally set to don their whites and strap on their pads on Wednesday 20 July, but British summer time weather intervened in the form of heavy storms.

For supporters of both clubs the match is a chance to meet the players they will be cheering on in the coming season in relaxed surroundings and there will be refreshments available in the form of a barbeque and bar.

A number of players have arrived for the start of pre-season and the match will provide the opportunity to get to know the players who will be competing in the Greene King IPA Championship and British and Irish Cup.

Last season the Cricket Club won the match by 116 runs, though with new reinforcements introduced to the Rugby Club’s batting and bowling, the aim is to stop a hat-trick of wins.

Ealing Trailfinders Cricket Club were founded in 2013 and since then have gone from strength to strength. Currently they play in Middlesex Championship Division 1.
