Close to £10, 000 raised at Jack Fishwick lunch

Ealing Trailfinders are delighted to announce that the Club and its supporters raised £9, 502 for the Jack Fishwick Discretionary Trust Fund at the Cinderford match on 4 October.

Jack is a former Ealing Trailfinders player, who in March suffered a rugby injury that left him quadriplegic. The Trust Fund was set up to raise funds for his on-going care and treatment and the Fund was chosen at the first XV squad’s chosen charity for the season.

The Cinderford match was then anointed as the Jack Fishwick match with all the money raised going towards the Trust Fund.

Jack and his family were guests of honour at the pre-match lunch which featured a charity auction and quiz, while later on a raffle was held in the Castle Bar Clubhouse.

“It is great to see the way in which people responded on the day to help raise much needed funds for someone who remains extremely popular at the Club, ” Director of Coaching Ben Ward said.

“On behalf of the Club I want to thank sponsorship and hospitality manager Sue Chandler, who organised the auction and prizes, Trailfinders Sports Club manager Sallie-Anne Wilkinson who arranged the lunch and facilities and Mike and Fiona Gooley for their great support for the Trust Fund.”

The Ealing Trailfinders 1st XV Charity Calendar has proven to be a huge success and is on sale with all the proceeds going Jack’s Trust Fund. It retails at £15 and is available online.
