Caz back for Blues Cup visit

Carwyn Jones makes a welcome return from injury when Bedford Blues travel to Vallis Way for the second part of a festive British and Irish Cup double header.

Jones last featured in the Greene King Championship match away to Nottingham on 18 November and he will pack down alongside Glen Townson who made his Ealing Trailfinders debut a week ago in the 19-19 draw at Goldington Road.

Behind them Mark Bright returns to captain the side from Number 8 with flankers Willie Ryan and Seb Nagle-Taylor either side of him.

Lewis Thiede returns to the front-row alongside last week’s hat-trick scorer Alun Walker and loose-head prop James Gibbons.

In the backline Alex Walker starts at scrum-half and will link up with Aaron Penberthy in the half-backs.

Phil Chesters holds onto his position on the left wing, with Curtis Wilson across the pitch on the right. Lewis Jones holds onto his place in the centres, but will team up with Joe Munro this week.

At fullback Luke Daniels returns to the number 15 jersey.
