Annual Cricket match provides huge entertainment
Ealing Trailfinders were narrowly defeated in a highly entertaining cricket match last night against the Ealing Trailfinders Cricket club.
The annual event is always a memorable evening and this one was no different, with a mixture of first team, staff and Trailfinders Academy Members in the line up.
The Cricket club batted first and after their 18 overs they reached a total of 131, with the highlight being Matt Dalrymple taking a wicket with the first ball of the innings to the delight of the watching crowd.
The Rugby Club then went in to bat with Matt Dalrymple and Oli Robinson opening the batting. A promising start was followed by a quick spell of wickets from former England bowler Sajid Mahmood. Ewan Fenley and Harry Weatherall made it a dramatic ending as they picked up the run rate significantly, however the Trailfinders ultimately came up just 12 runs short after their innings.
Thanks to everyone who played and attended, the players will now turn their attention back towards the oval ball with the season kicking off in two months time.
